Core Design Gallery opened our doors 4 years ago with our very first exhibition, Garis-garis Penghayatan, followed suit with various group exhibitions for young emerging artists. Throughout the 4 years, Core Design Gallery undertook and introduced many benchmark exhibitions into the Malaysia contemporary art market. Year 2012 marked the importance of ALIsm by Ali Nurazmal, who is currently hailed as the most talented freehand figurative artist.

In 2013, three important events took place for Core Design Gallery. The introduction of Malaysia contemporary Islamic Calligraphy by Husin Hourmain to the art scene in March 2013 followed by the highly appraised curated exhibition known as Great Malaysia Contemporary Art (GMCA) that took place at Art Expo 2013 and finally, the introduction of Malaysia contemporary Anime by Raja Lope Rasydi.

Towards the year end 2013, Core Design Gallery decided to expand its space as the most exclusive contemporary art gallery via its intricately designed contemporary art space by the architect Chun Hooi Tan.
